I really like how grout gives glass tile depth. The grout color used was 'Customblend' #115 'Platinum'.

Glass backsplash ready for grout.

Dang me, I do so love tile.

The 'beige' floor tile has a matte finish, the shower tile is polished. To add additional contrast the 'base' tile in the waistcoat is 'chocolate' with a polished surface.

The tile is a Home Depot stock item. Who knew?

1888: put on your vision goggles.

Can you see a bathroom? Clawfoot tub in the far left corner, toilet in the far right. Can you see it? Can you?

1888 gets some baffles in her belfry.

Solar. (In Oregon!!!)

Solar heated anti-freeze heats potable water in the holding tank. The tankless (on demand) water heater draws water from the holding tank as usage demands.

Even though it was 32 degrees in Portland this morning the Solar heated water is 100 degrees. Meaning the on demand heater (Set at 120 degrees) has to heat the water only 20 degrees. One green machine.

Retro all over again.

Marmoleum (yep) counter tops with vintage edge banding and shiny new under cabinet xeon lighting.

Need . . . More . . . Balloons.

The back corner of the 1888 house has been raised 4". Care to guess the cause of the foundation failure? (Note the down spout)

A pair of smoldering 'Bucky' eye shades caused the damage. But on the up side, brand new counter tops are in the works.
